Government health care has never in the history of the world, anywhere, delivered the same quality of medical care as has the free market. As we have lost the battle for competitive health care, today we are traveling along the path to a centrally controlled Soviet-style system that means doctor shortages, limited availability of procedures, scarcity of specialized drugs, long wait times, and an overall increased cost for a decreased quality of our healthcare. Over half of the surgeons who cover emergency rooms are over fifty years old. Many are retiring early; many are dramatically reducing their patient load. And the new regulations required by Obamacare are only making this much worse. You need to be medically prepared.
Surviving the Medical Meltdown is a guide to preparing you and your household to prevent and deal with a multitude of medical issues. It explains how we got in this situation, tells how to plan ahead when doctors and insurance aren't there to help, offers the latest medical breakthroughs so you can best maintain good health, and provides a home care handbook full of health tips for everything from rashes and fevers to fractures and chest pain. It will help you prepare for a future where immediate access to the modern medical care of today is simply not available.

GREAT book
By The Brilliant Reviewer
The first six chapters are GREAT. I believe the author has "nailed it" with regard the likely outcomes. Some of her conclusions have been affirmed by my personal doctor (many doctors will be retiring leaving a shortage of experienced medical practitioners, there will be shortages of certain drugs, etc...). The book is worth the price for those six chapters alone, but there is more. The next six chapters are just plain good advice above proper care for oneself and about being wary of government endorsed ideas such as recommended daily allowances for certain foods, minerals and vitamins as well as the difficulty of getting most doctors to change their way of thinking after many believe they got the final best answers in college or medical school. The last part of the book (17 chapters) is really helpful advice (albeit dry data) about surviving in the event of shortages of doctors and supplies. In other words, a "do it yourself" guide to most common medical problems. This part is worth a lot as an easy to understand medical guide to many common health issues. I recommend this book. Start stockpiling from the author's lists and start learning how to do a few things before you can't.

By James P. Hirschberg
Dr. Hieb is a doctor who has a years of personal experience dealing with the red tape and mandates coming down from Washington and the state capitols and how all of these unnecessary and costly mandates lower the ability of doctors to heal us while raising the costs. This book will give the reader a very clear view of the reality that is coming with regards to the inevitable doctor shortages, long waits and rationing of health care but the book also gives you advice how you and your family can survive the collapse of our health care system. I highly recommend this book. It is well written, informative, very personable and may just save your life!

This book really makes you think of how bad our medical field will suffer from Obamacare
By Amazon Customer
This book really makes you think of how bad our medical field will suffer from Obamacare. We had probably one of the best medical fields in the world before Obamacare and this book shows how it will be destroyed because lawyers (or someone even worse!) will be making your medical decisions NOT your doctor. I have a severe chronic illiness and already I am have a problem getting the procedure that I require to maintain my eating ability and keeping my pain at tolerable level. And it is because there are so many new people clogging up my health care plan. And it is getting worse. Thank God Dr. Hieb wrote this book! It gives you a real insight has to what is happening to our medical systems and how destructive Obamacare really is. The book paints a frightening reality but gives you plans to deal with the medical melydown that is happening right now Read this book!!!
