Great motivation

I felt like I was reading a short story, which was really surprising as I didn't expect that. I don't have 30 pounds to lose (want to lose 20 lbs but that figure can change), don't have a problem with emotional eating (although I stopped watching my diet and exercise for over a year while I helped care for my mom until she passed away couple months ago - that was stressful, but I didn't eat much more than usual), and don't have any food addictions. Nevertheless, the basic principles employed by Constance can apply to anyone looking to shed those annoying pounds that just seem to creep up on you until you feel like a little elephant! Her down to earth approach made it easy to relate to her and although her story is more than 4 years old, I am truly happy for her and pray that God continues to bless her life.

great book

This was a great book. I found myself not being able to put it down or look away. I liked the sad fully dramatic twist to it. Unfortunately that's what happens, things happen in our lives and some of us eat in times of stress. This ladies one life story makes a great book. Once her and her husband split she had gained 40 pounds and felt horrible about herself so she changed her lifestyle. She did some research about other countries and the women being smaller, so she fond truth in that and went with what they were eating, no preservatives and started eating fresh whole foods. She did it with her buddy Monica who was her eating buddy. They stopped eating out and stopped drinking soda. They lost weight and they lost it in 2 months, yes 8 weeks just by eating healthy and cooking meals at home.

The author of this book not only provides the information on how she lost her weight but part of her actual journal is available to view and read. This is a real motivation factor and shows that keeping a journal will help in anyone's weight reduction journey. I have heard countless doctors say that keeping a journal is a great way to keep track of the foods that are consumed on a daily basis. I never realized or imagined how much I was actually consuming on a daily basis until I started keeping a journal. It is amazing how my doctors have been telling me for years to try this simple trick and after reading the information provided I learned how useful it really was. Keeping a journal is just the first step in the process and the author shows us this through her weight reduction journey.
