Think Twice Before Pulling into the Next Drive-Thru

I couldn’t have found this book at a better time—it’s the new year and I’m on a new fitness journey. I’m not a big junk food junkie, but sometimes it can be the only, or at least, the most convenient option. Michael Walle has put together an informational guide to why we do crave junk food and how to get rid of those cravings. He addresses why our bodies are prone to wanting fats and sugars. I have learned over time that active people like myself really burning through those “empty calories,” then I’m hungry again. A vicious cycle. This ebook reinforces this thinking.
One of the most important chapters in this guide was “How To Eat Better Food” that suggests going cold-turkey on the junk. I couldn’t agree more! You allow little slip ups, then the next thing you know, you’re on the downward path again. Finally, I also thought the chapter “Eliminating Your Cravings” especially helpful. It’s tough to control your cravings, particularly when the temptation to munch on junk is all around. Sometimes, sticking to your guns and choosing good health over politeness is what you have to do, as Walle suggests. I would go a step further and say that if someone views you as rude for choosing nutrition over social construct, well, tell them to go jump in a lake!
If you are suffering from junk food addiction, or just want to get a better handle on your nutrition, I highly recommend this guide.

I found this to be the perfect choice, since I struggle with changing my eating habits. I have tried a good deal of different products and also read a few books; this by far was the most effective.
