A Spiritually Uplifting Journey of Faith

When my church asked me to teach a Bible study for people who are dealing with cancer in their lives, my first reaction was "no way." As a breast cancer survivor, I had put "all things cancer" away in a closet, closed the door, and was moving on with my life. Now I was being asked to open that door and relive the experience. With tears streaming down my face, I simply said "I can't." But God had other plans. He kept tugging at my heart and led me through Amazon.com to Karen Allen's Bible study, "Confronting Cancer with Faith." I ordered it on a Thursday, it arrived on Saturday, and I couldn't put it down. I kept telling my husband, "Listen, this is exactly how I felt, this is the same Scripture that got me through, this book is about me!" I have now taught Karen's Bible study four times, at two different churches and in a private home. It speaks straight to the heart of not only those who are going through cancer, but to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer or any life crises. It is truly a journey of faith which is spiritually uplifting while dealing with the stark realities of a cancer diagnosis and the aftermath. This one-of-a kind Bible study, which brings hope, encouragement, and comfort, has changed my life.

Excellent Resource for Those Going Through Cancer and Their Loved Ones

Karen Allen has provided an excellent and practical Biblical study for those going through the journey of cancer themselves or walking through it with a loved one. Her openness of sharing what the Lord taught her through her cancer experience was a comfort and motivated me spiritually as I walk through cancer with our oldest son. I have recommended it to family and friends.
